Today we took a vocabulary quiz on chapters 12-13 TKAM and we then collected the chapter questions and vocab worksheets. We also collected the dialectical journals for chapters 12-15. Then we did some questions for chapter 15. We managed to read chapter 16 in period 6; the homework is to read chapter 16 and do a dialectical journal for that chapter.
Today we reviewed the dialectical journals and went over the questions for chapter 14. We also read Chapter 15 and began the dialectical journal entry. Homework is to study vocabulary for chapters 13 and 14.

Today we went over the responses in the dialectical journals and then we reviewed the questions for chapter 12. We also went over the vocabulary words for chapter 12 (test on Friday). Then wer read chapter 13 in TKAM. Finally, we had to write another entry for chapter 13 in the DJ.
How to do Dialectical journal Hello,
Today we reviewed dialectical journals and then read Chapter 12 of TKAM. We tied quotes to particular themes in the novel. The homework is to write one quote for the dialectical journal and one analysis. I also passed back the Pearl essays.
Today we worked on writing an outline for our essay. The rough draft is due on Monday.
Today we turned in the thesis statement and went over some of the expectations. Then we discussed TKAM and 6th period also worked on a dialectical journal. Homework is to complete the first page of the essay packet.
Today we collected the homework for chapter 11 and then we worked in our groups applying TWIST to the various essay prompts. We shared what we came up with and then we talked about the homework which is to type out a thesis statement in MLA format for your essay.
I was absent on Friday so there is no blog. Apparently my sub didn’t show up so different teachers covered for me. All went well. You were in capable hands. Friday we read chapter 10 in class and turned in the homework (Chapter 9). Period 5 was given the essay prompt but not Period 6. Today we discussed the essay prompt in both classes and then were put into groups and applying TWIST to each of the essay questions. Tomorrow we will share with the rest of the class. Homework is chapter 11 question in TKAM.
Today we took notes on writing an essay and transitions. Then we discussed TKAM. After that I passed out the homework which was Chapter 9 and chapter 9 questions. See me if you need a copy.
